Java can be used for almost anything but its not always the best thing to use – it does some things slower then other languages. The great advantage java has is that it can run on any computer that has it installed windows, mac, unix, linix etc. so you only need to write one version of your program. -Also the way you write java is verry close to the way you write in C or C++
XML is the newer and more advanced form of HTML – you can use it if you’re building a webpage – i’ve never had to bother with it yet bc i allways just use HTML for everything
I don’t realy know anything about BPEL
